    FREEWAY-TRUCK

    Highways I-69 & I-75 intersect one another 5 miles to the south.

    We are located at exit #122 just off I-75.

    I-75 Connects Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Miami, Florida and also services Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia.

    On the west side of the Flushing, State route M-13 runs north and south connecting Saginaw, Michigan and I-69.

    I-69, informally referred to as the NAFTA Highway, connects Ontario, Canada and Mexico.

    RAILROAD

    Canadian National (CN) Railroad runs through the area connecting Vancouver British Columbia and Halifax, Nova Scotia.  CN Railroad connects the closest North American Ports to Europe, Halifax, Nova Scotia and Chicago, Illinois.

    CSX Railroad connects Bay City, Michigan to Jacksonville, Florida and 23 states east of the Mississippi River.

    Central Michigan Railroad running through Flushing and connects the CN and CSX Railroads at both Durand and Bay City, Michigan.

    28% of commercial freight between the United States and Canada passes through the Border Crossing at Sarnia, Ontario-Port Huron, Michigan.

    SHIP/FREIGHTER

    Flushing is within one and a half hours drive of three International Sea Ports: Bay City, Port Huron and Detroit.

    AIRPORT

    Flushing only 6 miles from Bishop International Airport, the second fastest growing airport in the Nation

    Of $9.0 billion worth of office furniture systems made in the U.S. in 2004, more than half were manufactured by Michigan companies.

    Every dollar of manufacturing product sold generates an additional $1.43 of intermediate economic output.

    Michigan employs the fifth highest number of manufacturing workers in the U.S. (670,000 plus) or 15% of Michigan’s non-farm employment.

    Michigan is the fourth largest high-tech employer in the nation.

    Michigan export $3,523 worth of goods for every person in Michigan in 2004, or the sixth highest per capita export rate in the nation.  More than $35.6 billion of goods were exported in 2004, the fourth highest rate in the U.S.

    Using year 2006 trade numbers as the baseline, it is projected that trade between the U.S. and Canada will increase by 180% by the year 2015.  One-third of the $1.6 billion in daily trade between the U.S. and Canada enters or leaves the U.S. via Michigan border crossing points and this trade exceeds the trade between the U.S. and Japan

    Michigan companies export to 191 markets worldwide

    Michigan ranked second in the nation in 2002 for research and development spending ($18 billion), the last year for which figures are available.

    Michigan is ranked first in the nation in industrial R&D intensity according to the National Science Foundation.
