5 Easy Marketing tips

1. Have a 30 sec commercial about yourself: When someone asks “what do you do” have a prepared answer and practice it. Make it simple,

explanatory and professional.

2. Have an impressive business card: Make sure your business card stands out in a crowd; whether it is color, material, shape or content; make it one that customers will remember.

3. Become a tool for your customers: Be the “go to” person for questions and solutions about your industry. Let others know they can come to you for help, even if they are not your customer or client. Eventually they will see your benefit and think of you first the next time your ser-vices/products are needed.

4. Stay in front of your customers/clients: A good marketing plan includes a minimum of 6 contacts a year for past/present/ future customers. This could include a phone call, visit, postcard mailing, holiday greetings, time change reminders, etc.

5. Record a great voice mail: How many times a day do you reach a voice mail? Is it boring?  Uninformative?  Run of the mill? Make yours stand-out. Refer callers to your email and/or website for immediate help and ALWAYS check your voice mail on a regular basis.
